The Master of Science in Technology Management (MSTM) integrates management topics with technology and science.
This English-mode MSTM dual-degree program combine score MBA for business practice and competency development with technology management for technology specialists. The program aims to provide practical as well as intellectual tools for engineers and technical specialists who are moving into managerial positions, and who need to complement their technical expertise with general business, organizational and strategic management capabilities. Stony Brook is ranked in the top 1% universities in the world (QS) and 45 among all U.S. universities. The program includes students travel to the United States to attend a three-week summer study program at Stony Brook University. The MSTM program is delivered entirely in English and has been offered as a dual-degree program with SBU and aSSIST University since 1999 with over 650 graduates.
The MSTM curriculum is designed with courses in: 1) general business administration and 2) technology management strategy. To fulfill the requirements for the this dual-degree MS degree, participants must successfully complete studies worth 36 credits. Studies include 27 core credits, a business project (3 credits), and overseas courses in New York (6 credits). The MSTM can be completed in 18 months. The program has a modular structure, follows a two-week learning cycle, and can be completed in English. Most courses are delivered on Fridays, 19:00-22:45 or Saturdays, 09:00-17:30 and some are held on Sundays, 09:00-18:20.
The New York Residence Program (NRP) is held for approximately three weeks between mid-July and early-August each year. It consists of full-time classes at the Stony Brook, New York campus, and company visits to enhance understanding of the local business environment. Students may also experience the Long Island as a resort, and Manhattan environment, which is the world's business center.
